Almost Christmas - Official Trailer (HD)

Traditional German Carols, the Christmas family online.
If you've looked around our site a lot, you will find that many popular traditions of the United States of Christmas - including Christmas tree - actually come from German-speaking peoples In fact, families from Germany, Austria and other German-speaking countries have built many communities and much of the infrastructure of our land increasingly today, a simple look at the street signs in most communities between Hudson and Mississippi still tell you that the Hokes and Funderburgs and hundreds of thousands of German families put a lot of cultural and even physical foundations that others have built over the last century.
Christmas was as important, if not more important for German-speaking peoples to any other culture, they gave us not only the Christmas tree, but the first Christmas tree decorations glass They also helped popularize the use Christmas cards that were generally postcards at first - between 1890 and 1910, a large proportion of Christmas cards sent in this country were printed by German printers, and many were printed in German in addition, between 1850 and 1970 most imported Nativity sets sold in the uS were made in German-speaking countries and means that much of what we take for granted on Christmas celebrations today comes directly from Germanic cultures in Europe and North America.
So it is not surprising that the German influence on Christmas music in North America is also deeply German-speaking peoples have brought more, not just the Christmas tree, but O Tannenbaum They not only did most Nativity sets that north American families use in their homes - they brought the Austrian hymn Silent Night Stille Nacht Being Myself half-German, I especially appreciate the dedication and enthusiasm that my German ancestors showed to the Christmas season in fact, when I was a small child my mother had relatives who could sing two songs in German and understand what they were singing.

This collection is small for now, but it will grow in time Meanwhile, celebrates centuries of German commitment to make Christmas a quiet time for reflection and a time for family celebrations.
