Stonehenge Aotearoa Stonehenge Aotearoa Carterton Review of New Zealand

Stonehenge timelapse

Interestingly enough if you want to have a conference and particualy interested in astronomy, etc. Reminded me a bit of an old high school conference, brief explanation would have been better in my opinion, for us always be them if we did not want does not excuse us never How well his shame, he had to be a takeoff of the name Stonehenge is really just my 5 could see the wizard hats chanted on a full moon.

We have the self-guided tour for shorter people who do not know their level of interest This gives you a map, Av 7 minutes takes you on a tour of the Henge then you take in From your reaction, this may have been a better choice for you the self-guided tour is available during the opening hours and is available to anyone who has not specifically reserved for the visit.

We visited this location recently and we were really impressed with the architecture Audio-visual video was very helpful in explaining the details behind the positioning of different rocks We were disappointed that there were no tours available when we went in the afternoon, the tour only got the morning we hope to come back and use a tour that we think will add more value to a business.

Thank you for your opinion is highly appreciated A private tour can be booked at any time by arrangement, but with only two people present, it is difficult to have more regular visits.

We look forward to seeing you We have many return visitors, some have been here several times, we like to see them and share stories Many people come for a self-guided tour and then return to the tour, often with a coachload of people.

My husband and I visited Stonehenge Aotearoa this morning and found ok My first tip is to drive slowly as the driveway there is a way and cars are often backed up on each side which can mean a fine drive in the parking lot.

My second advice would be to pay for the self-guided tour 8 per person rather than the tour unless you are really into astronomy This place is good to have a walk around, but it is quite small and I think you'd be trouble paying attention for 90 minutes unless you are really interested in astronomy, I think children would find quite boring tour.
There are two toilets, but drinks and snacks are limited here.
This place is good to have a look, but to be perfectly honest, it's not a destination, but is good to visit if you spend a few days in the Wairarapa.

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to respond tour is targeted for adults as you suggest though there are kids who really like one day we may be able to expand the facilities, but we are two people working really hard for that we do what we can, I'm glad you enjoyed your visit and I am sure that your advice will help others.

Having never been able to visit the real Stonehenge or Avebury in the UK, I was skeptical about a Henge concrete built home in rural New Zealand, but I was completely conquered this n is not trying to be an imitation of Stonehenge, it is a work Henge, built by enthusiastic volunteers, which was specially placed for its own location and work with the local southern hemisphere constellations Maori and Pasifika and legends it was a labor of love and the hosts are extremely enthusiastic and really make them are alive Wairarapa is a great place to see the night sky at any time because there is little light pollution and a beautiful big sky If you have an interest in astronomy, this place is well worth a visit.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review as you say this is a labor of love and every bit of positive feedback is much for us in every way, we could not continue without the enthusiasm of our visitors You will find us interesting, but our visitors are the highlight of our day, they come from so many interesting places and we love when they share their stories with us the place is still in development in order to return again and enjoy what new things we have already created once, thank you.
