Solarwatt reveals up to modular level MyReserve storage system.
Solarwatt unveiled the latest evolution of its MyReseve system, a fully modular storage system that can be customized to meet the requirements of any application.
About 400 of the German manufacturer partners attended a launch event in Berlin yesterday, where MyReserve matrix was revealed.
The system consists of only two basic components, the battery module pack and the electronic unit power control, which contains all the connectors, sensors and a system control software can be installed with as little capacity 2 2 kWh, but due to the scalable design of the matrix of storage solution, a plurality of battery modules can be added up to 2 2MWh.
A control unit is required for a maximum of five modules of the battery, with the number of components that can be customized to meet end-user needs.
Dr. Andreas Gutsch, General Manager Technology Center Innovation Solarwatt and responsible for the development of the battery MyReserve said Our system is based on a matrix of two basic elements.
With performance and scalable capacity without compromise, there is a home battery on the market for the first time that suits all applications Our installers to deal with these two components this means less training, storage and transportation costs - and, last but not least, faster and easier installation.
Carsten Bovenschen CFO Solarwatt added that because of the varying prices for each system - in 2126 to 1968 and the control module for every 1,879 2,030 battery pack was very difficult to compare the matrix to competitors.
The company added that high yields and low cost of scaling the system, including installation and maintenance, means that the system offers very competitive prices in many applications.
Detlef Neuhaus, CEO of SOLARWATT said Our latest generation of batteries will fundamentally change the energy storage market This is the first system that adapts flexibly to individual customer needs, rather than the opposite.
Solarwatt of MyReserve matrix can be expanded to meet any demand of 2 to 2 up to 2 kWh of 2MWh Solarwatt picture capability.
The physical structure of the matrix system, with each component individually mounted, the mounting means can be done quickly learning installers on the system during the launch event has completed installation of a control unit and three battery packs in six minutes.
Solarwatt added that maintenance could be easily achieved as individual defective components can be removed and replaced with new hardware MyReserve Matrix comes with a guarantee of 10 years and 15 years of life expectancy, but the components can be exchanged when needed, which means that it is unnecessary to replace the entire system.
The system is designed to connect directly to the DC system between the PV array and the inverter, but Solarwatt confirmed it was working on an AC option to be delivered within 12 months This allows the matrix solution to communicate and work with all brands of the inverter, to apply it immediately to the renovation market.
The system continues to undergo tests, including 1 for a 5MW application, before being officially launched in summer 2017, a company representative said that the first units would be sold on the market Solarwatt native Germany before to be released in other in 2018.
Bovenschen added modularity, it will be easier for us to introduce the successful MyReserve in various foreign markets that are of interest to us.
If the battery must be adapted to the specific conditions on site, only one of the building blocks must be changed, instead of the entire product This results in significant scale effects.
The system marks a departure from the residential market which is traditionally engaged with Solarwatt, having sold more than 20,000 units in Germany since the current system MyReserve was launched in 2015.
However, the system scaleability means the company will look to attack commercial level applications, and industrial network.
Gutsch added large-scale competitors will notice that we are here now.
