German cars among the worst for engine failures!

Top 30 Dyno Tuning Disasters - HD

Audi, BMW and VW ranked in the bottom 10 of a study on the reliability of the engine.
A study was recently conducted regarding the reliability of the engine many manufacturers in the UK where it is the Germans, known for the reliability of solid rock, are some of the least reliable engines in the company in the renowned manufactures study as BMW, Volkswagen and Audi ranked in the bottom ten of the reliability table which consisted of 36 automotive manufacturers this study was carried out by warranty direct, one of the best companies that sell the warranty for cars UK in this amazing study, it appears that Audi is the second from the bottom in 35th place one place before British company, Volkswagen, one of the biggest, the most famous and reputable brands in the world, classified 9th from the bottom of the list.

Shocking see BMW and Audi, large luxury car manufacturers, the aspirations of everyone, down the list Either buyers are crazy or reliability of the engine doesn t really matter in the overall ownership experience of 'a car.

If engine reliability was a key factor in meeting the ownership, BMW would be one of the top luxury car manufacturers worldwide for decades constantly.
What about the reliability of the report itself What are the factors they consider while building long-term engine reliability sampling process they had done and they used statistical measures .
So why BWM and Audi always the biggest luxury car manufacturers and even they are technological advanced in gasoline and diesel that most Japanese counter parts.

The report only speaks engines and not the car as a whole why they are top because all other goods and services they provide.
And although someone like you and I can not find these things so obviously someone has spent a lot of time to get these facts.
The report does not mention that all comes when engine trouble who knows that even loosen a nut bolt in the engine is considered an engine failure in the report.
You know exactly what I wanted to use this same point to support the report.

Why a nut stands in all 27 well audi something is not right and that is exactly the report.
These companies are given due inch reviews and not the latest revision for 2-3 years, they review how the car is cool how the car handles the way it seems that the real owner gets to know every little problem.
Just you know I wanted to use this same point to promote the report why a nut stands in each audi 27 something good is not fair and that's exactly the report says these companies are given thumbs because of criticism and no assessment last 2-3 years, they review how the car is cool how the car handles the way it seems that the real owner gets to know every little problem.
No, this is not the case the other aspects as you mentioned how it handles, how it looks and other well outweigh any minor complaint with the engine at the end of the day, the numbers total experience.
Its quite difficult to really understand me the report on extreme is the Mercedes, one of fav luxury cars and other extreme are the Audi and BMW, again luxury cars fav If engine reliability was a parameter defining, there should be a coherent model law.

Table showing the most reliable cars 1997-2012 Make Model Year Product Reliability Evaluation Index 1 Mitsubishi Lancer June 2 Vauxhall Agila 05-08 00-08 March 8th Suzuki Alto 97-06 September 4 Toyota Aygo 05- May 10 Honda HR-V 98- 16 June 5 Volvo S40 96-04 July 16 Mazda MX-5 05- 19 8 Mercedes class E 06- 20 8 Toyota Camry 99-03 October 20 01-08 21 Honda Jazz.
Make Model Year manufactured Reliability Evaluation Index 1 Audi RS6 1282 02-11 2 04-11 717 3 BMW M5 Mercedes SL 02- 555 4 Mercedes V-Class 96-04 547 00-07 512 5 Mercedes CL 6 Audi A6 Allroad 00 - 05 502 7 Bentley Continental GT Porsche 03- 490 8 911 996 442 9 01-06 Range Rover 02- 440 10 94-00 438 Citroen XM.
This list atleast 3 Mercedes models are less reliable but in 2013 they got 3rd place in the most reliable category.
Reliability how it's measured, it is not only how often a car breaks down, it is also the time needed to repair and how much it costs to rectify this reason it is useful to arm yourself with the knowledge of how 35 brands and models fared in our survey on reliability 2011 We used direct warranty claims detailed data to analyze what is really wrong password the survey shows the probability of a car is to break and which areas are more likely to fail.
How the investigation Not every make and model car is included in our investigation that the cars Warranty Direct has policies and even only if more than 50 vehicles covered This large sample size means we get a more accurate assessment of what really fails we remove vehicles that are more than eight years from the results; with vehicles more than age, reliability is more about how the car was treated as its basic design.
What is the reliability index This is the direct guarantee of quick and easy to compare cars taking all key aspects of reliability into account it considers the number of times a car breaks down, and the average repair cost and time to repair the fewer, the better the car as a guide, the average score of reliability index is about 100.

How the results are displayed We have a list of manufacturers from worst to best, depending on the frequency of their cars break down, however, to help you find the best cars in each category, we also have a list of the top 10 and the worst of all sorted by their reliability index This gives a much better comparison when considering the overall reliability of a supermini, compact frame or SUV compared to peers We have also included the question of the reliability of the most likely cause problem on every top-10 car.

The thing is we do not know if they have covered major or minor faults, but still minors account read the comment to Nithin has another investigation and how it was conducted.
And again the report engine only and not the car as a whole.

Thank you for posting this have much more detail than the last.
