Parade Christmas Market visit - Helendorf River Inn and Conference Center.
My friend and I went to Helen GA for a weekend to enjoy the many activities for the Christmas season After reviewing various hotels here on Tripadvisor, I decided the Helendorf because it was walking distance to shops and activities, and the price was right, we were greeted warmly by the clerk of receiving any information on the free breakfast, wi-fi, and recommendations for restaurants and activities room was their standard room, 2 bed queen, with refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, flat screen television, and the thing that really impressed me was there was a Christmas tree table What good breakfast was standard key bagels, danishes a variety of cereals, yogurt and fruit There was also a variety of juices, milk, coffee, hot water for tea and coffee hot apple cider and hot apple cider were Ega LEMENT been offered throughout the day in the lobby.
A beautiful weekend and we enjoyed the Christmas parade, shopping and visiting the Unicoi Lodge to see the festival of trees and exhibitions of the house of gingerbread.
If you go, check out Old Bavarian Inn for the great German food, Hofer for inhouse REAL cakes German made and pastries, Higher Ground Coffee, The Hayloft Restaurant & Bar for great music and dance, and Country Restaurant Wendell near Sautee for a delicious Sunday lunch we had a great time and would stay in Helendorf the next time we are in town.

We loved every minute of our visit in Helen, Ga Although the hotel is, you can tell the service is top priority Very clean room with a beautiful view of the flow The staff was friendly the continental breakfast was well the location is nice on the spot as good as it gets Leave the car parked either direction takes you to the town never seen a city like this to see if you are visiting the north GA We captured some pictures Helen amazing Thanks for the wonderful memories.

After checking the TripAdvisor reviews, we decided to stay Helendorf The hotel is old, but I think it added to it's rustic charm We arrived after 4 hours from Knoxville noon We arrived, and although we could not check into our room until 15 pm, we were given a parking pass Since parking is difficult to find here, we should not move our car until we left we went to lunch at the Old Heidelburg which was wonderful, and strolled around this picturesque town to explore the cute little shops we wanted to stay on the river, but they rent these rooms if we could stay 2 nights Our room, 217 had 2 queen beds, microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker bathroom sink was outside the bathroom with a large vanity ceiling was vaulted with wooden beams I loved co out beds and shower curtains were both white and were in immaculate room was very clean outside of the room were two rocking chairs on the bridge we stopped by the pool, it is heated and enclosed in a structure type greenhouse which was also heated breakfast consisted of a variety of individually packaged juices, cereals, donuts, bagels, etc. There were only two tables to sit, but it was very easy to take something and take it in your room as there was hot coffee or tea in the lobby all day which was convenient It there was also a Mexican restaurant on site, and the food was great next time I hope we can stay longer and get a board room of the river we had the best time.

Nice hotel for the price compared to other places in Helen.
The lobby is picturesque, with great wood stone fireplace Buildings are decorated outside kitchsy in the German style of Helene, supplemented with some cute mini mural paintings rocking chairs outside the rooms and a landing by the river were nice too.
Inside our room was simply decorated furniture was nothing special, but were in good condition there was a new large flat screen TV The room was very clean, we had a standard room on the second floor in the Court of Grimm and B had a high, vaulted, true ceiling wooden crates, which made the room No toiletries have been provided beyond soap by the sink and liquid soap or shampoo in a dispenser in the shower .
Order is 11 hours, but your parking pass is good up to 15 hours more because most car Helen seemed to be a lot.
The continental breakfast consisted of packaged products, but there was enough variety to satisfy most of the palaces of yogurt, fruit, baked goods, cereals, milk, coffee, cereal bars, etc.
