German Carz Live at Larz (German car day at larz anderson Museum)
On Sunday, August 9, 2015 I traveled 115 miles in Brookline, MA to attend one of my favorite events to BMW one of my favorite places BMW Museum Day 2015 at Larz Anderson I left my house in schedule at 6 20am, leaving time for a quick stop at the local Starbucks for a Doppio for the road that I love the smell of a double espresso in the morning.
Here is the place of the Larz Anderson Auto Museum The museum contains the Anderson automotive collection of vintage and antique cars distributed on the ground floor and main floor Main Hall offers a different exhibition every year This year, the function Motorcycles and although I'm not a guy motorcycle, it is very cool, I'll do a post on motorcycles Museum Larz Anderson TBA is in the works that the room and the only Anderson collection worth the trip if you have never been there Attend Day on BMW Museum was the icing on the cake, I love this place GB.
Moreover, the registration on the occasion of the BMW Day includes Museum admission is a bargain.
OK, back to Baurs Friend, Afonso --- the only known Connecticut ---- E21 Baur was expected to bring his beautiful 1978 48 Baur to the show with me, but unfortunately had to cancel at the last moment, we missed Afonso.
We had 4 Baurs the salon, but two Baurs E21, a Targa 2002 Cabrio and a surprise, we save for last.
I had a large downward course to rise to Brookline, and I arrived around 8 30ish I entered the display section as opposed to the section Judged My Baur is a daily driver, and appears without definitely the part that I get many compliments on it from people who appreciate the fact that, with 300,000 miles, and daily use, this is a car that is well used and well loved and it is true that I never sell this car.
The show was not actually open until 10 pm, but I like to have a good parking spot, I was greeted by Andrew Plante of the Boston chapter, and I was very pleasantly surprised to be pointed what appeared to be Baur Section for parking Whoa There were two Baurs already parked in front of me Nice.
I stepped behind my friend Rodney B 1979 320 6 White regular blog readers already know that I love the E21 white, and Rodney was a great example.
And, next to Rodney parked is Peter M and his wife in their 2002 Baur Targa Cabrio The day is a great start.

OK, now here is the fourth and last of the day Baur Baur M1.
Neil M1 Baur I arrived at the scene in the nick of time this photographer asked Neil who will be leaving the show to pause for a moment so he could get a picture, I heard him ask, so I sidled up next to and took some photos of my own.
I like this plan of the M1 opposite the main entrance of the hall Larz Anderson Auto Museum --- with Two Horses next I had fun chatting with the owner of the Two horses, and I love the juxtaposition of these two classic cars at the house of a car emblematic utility of the people alongside the BMW supercar I love it.
If you're wondering what the connection Baur to the M1 is the final assembly of the M1 was completed Baur Works in Stuttgart, under the supervision BMW.
The smile of that child says something, trust me, I wore a big smile at that time too.
A great moment of pleasure when the BMW Museum Day at Larz Anderson Auto I have about 200 more photos still to come on the rest of the show, but I wanted to get that Baur display first.

I had two favorite times Sunday one was the cat I had with an old man, with whom I shared my Baur Spiel He said he comes to BMW updated annually, and each year he learns something something new this year, he learned Baurs, and he thanked Mr. Nice, of Norwood, MA, I think.
The second, and very unexpected time favorite was the owner of two French Horses Totally unexpected, came out of nowhere, but the highlight of the day who knew; But that is a topic for another post, still in the works my day.
