Saturday morning Granola 4 cups old-fashioned oats March 4 cup honey 1 4 cup dark brown sugar 2 3 cup coconut oil 1 tablespoon vanilla 1 2 tablespoon almond extract 2 teaspoons cinnamon Place oats in a large bowl in a large saucepan, combine honey, brown sugar, coconut oil, vanilla and almond extracts and cinnamon over medium heat until melted, then pour over the oat mixture and stir together until well coated Turn oats on a baking sheet that has been coated with a layer of parchment paper Spread oats in a uniform layer bake in a preheated oven at 325 degrees 20 minutes Use a spatula to flip the granola, then cook for 15-20 minutes, until the edges are lightly browned granola Remove the granola from the oven, stir around a longer time, then let air dry and harden pen ing the night before serving.
