I have not seen any comment on the wifi stability, range etc. But let's assume that it works very well, here are the benefits that I can see - no need to touch the windows I could stop there - not need my iStreamer dac external wo head unit - much less burden on the setting, it is already annoying to have to handle a laptop, microphone and rCA trunk in fact, I see a lot more freedom to play the download settings even from the couch for example, after the first steps could be everything on the fly, no need to connect every time, etc.
It's worth the extra cost I'd think, just for comfort and ease of use, of all that the iPad we did.

These are all valid points I guess if you already have an iPad, it is a good thing but for those of us who already have t donate at least 250 iPad mini, maybe not so good.
The MiniDSP needs a power supply for home audio, not for mobile use and the same rating Rainbow DSP also need a power supply for home audio.
The Android app is compatible with MiniDigi I wish Mini would offer flexible adjustment options for the DSP.

Just messing around with the iPad software, I like pet peeve of mine was that DSP producers have not created alternative OS interfaces An interface iPad and an iPhone app is perfect, especially since it is wireless.
