KITCHENER, Ontario - An inventor Kitchener, who said he was certainly inspired by comic hero Iron Man, has shown a house exoskeleton lifting a car to a German TV crew.
James Hobson said the elevator, using the legs of his exoskeleton was about 360 kilograms, adding that the legs are evaluated for about 700 kilograms.

Hobson said he's been dabbling in exoskeletons for about two years and has built an exoskeleton last year upper body and curled up near 135 kg with it.
He has since quit his job to concentrate full time on exoskeletons and YouTube and began to build the legs - which he describes as a very early prototype costs about 1000 - just a few weeks.
Hobson said he to collect coins for two years - as the superhero alter ego Tony Stark Marvel - modified and tinkered in the leg portion of the exoskeleton.

Hobson said the motivation to get the legs built was the German TV show Galileo to come film the Mini Cooper elevator, he said the test was for its design.
We wanted to show the German television show something impressive, he said Wednesday.

I have a project car, a Mini Cooper, we are working on fixing up, so we thought hey, why not try to lift that.
The video was the test, Hobson said we didn t have time for anything else that I work better under pressure anyway.
Hobson moved to Kitchener from Toronto there about a year, and said he bought the place because of the garage, which is larger than the house.
It was built in the 80s for a truck so he could park his big rig inside, he said.
I call it the Inventorium I spent the last year renovating on a budget, and it's starting to look like a little plant suitable R D, added Hobson.

Hobson has not yet begun work on a superior body to the exoskeleton.
It's the old, but that was the first prototype, it is to be scrapped, he said.
Hobson said he's intention to demonstrate the exoskeleton to show Daily Planet Discovery Channel Monday by lifting a truck - which he believes will be a lift of about 680 kilograms.
