Italeri 1/35 M24 Chaffee Unboxing

Horch Kfz 15 Italeri Kit No. 6215 January 35 First Look review by Terry Ashley scale Italeri have reissued their kfz 15 Horch kit that was released over 20 years ago from what can be called the golden age Italeri where small details were among the best around some of these kits vehicles still standing against the latest generation kits.
The kit represents the initial design of 15 Kfz Horch built from 1937 to 1943 and was used in different configurations on all fronts during the war and was one of the most important medium car of the Wehrmacht.
The kit consists of 148 parts by light gray plastic with 7 transparent plastic and vinyl tires 6, plus a small sheet decal, and the instruction sheet.
Quality of overall moldings are very clean given the age of the kit with some of molding seams showing some excess require removal, but it is easy and this kit is notable for the minimum marks pins that Italeri were known for around this time There are of course, but pieces such as the doors with details on both sides of the body are free from pin marks and those who are there are quite shallow and easy to remove.

Most pieces are finely molded needing care when removing the stems form casting and during cleaning but increase considerably the final look of kit.
The lower frame is in one piece with the front fenders and foot steps included with the four suspension units independently resilient consisting of six parts, each of very good definition detail and added thereto are separate stabilizer bars and arms direction before, although the wheels aren t airship.
There are front and rear differentials, the central transfer case, drive shafts and the muffler of the exhaust pipe as separate pieces to finish the lower face and detailed.
The upper body has separate bottom plate which has subtle bearing plate included with additional separate parts for the three levels of conductor and two pedals and all handholds on the dashboard and the doors being separate parts for a good definition both front seats and rear seats are a bit basic with lower frames, but solids subtle texture on separate seat cushions.
The side panels and the back body are separate parts with details on both sides with only the pin marks being within the wheel wells where they will be hidden and a couple inside of the rear wall are easy to remove doors have mentioned detail on both sides and are free to pin marks and can be shown open or closed as you like the rear wings are even separate parts of the frame of the windshield which includes wiper blades and within the wiper motors, although parts by transparent glass are thin, which can not be noticed on the assembled screen.
At the front is a separate firewall with side panels separate engine compartment hood and radiator with all details well defined intake vents and radiator grillwork which are again well done to the age of kit the headlights are fitted with clear lenses or separate blackout covers depending on the preference you and good lighting Notek with front and rear bumper bars are also separate parts, as well as the fill pipe fuel.

There are parts around the many small details of objects such as mirrors, side width and signal indicators, rear lights and replacement flags of frames that are molded very well.
Les six wheels are solid vinyl with very pleasant tread pattern and smooth sidewalls and will work well.
You have the alternative of a canvas roof folded at the back of the body or a fully extended cover included with the full length clear windows, but details on the extended roof sheet is pretty basic with smooth sides but could be detailed by gluing fabric on the part for more texture.
There are also three beautiful jerry cans with separate handles for use as needed, as well as two numbers, one officer standing and seated driving, but the details of these can be described as basic at best with very static poses and basis of uniform details especially on the driver as these are the only items not stand up well to the gift intervening years.

The small decal sheet included well printed markings with a thin film support and a good color register using license plates and unit markings for three vehicles.
