Historic downtown St. Petersburg cafeteria reopens as a beer garden.

The Mediterranean-style building with colorful tiles, balconies, arches and columns swirling started as a seasonal cafeteria for winter visitors and later was a popular lunch place for workers from downtown and area residents.
It opened as Bob cafeteria in 1930, but was purchased and renovated in style in 1939 by the Lander brothers, Enar and Henry Haige coal and grilled broiler steaks chops while large ovens proved 116 pies every 25 minutes.



The lines of loyal customers wrapped the building each year for the opening of the season in November, which was often celebrated with cake and coffee.
The line of the cafeteria was silent for several years, but employees have used Times as a place to eat lunch brought from home and meetings.
The Tramor is an ideal place for the downtown restaurant scene and booming brewery in St. Petersburg, said Jana Jones, CFO Times.
Josef Matuschka, owner of the new restaurant lives in Chicago, could not be reached for comment.
Existing Hofbrauhaus locations serve lunch and dinner with all German standbys like scallops, smoked sausages, Bavarian potato salad, sauerkraut, spaetzle and strudel The child has American standbys menu as hot dogs, macaroni and cheese offerings and chicken.


The restaurant's website boasts of brewing beer using recipes passed by the Duke of Bavaria 400 years ago the stores tend to carry four permanent beers on tap, most special of the month.
The site also shows photos of beer inside gardens with large tables, a central fountain and ceiling painted to resemble the sky already Tramor ceiling is painted with a blue sky and fluffy clouds.
In addition to live music seven nights a week, other sites also offer banquet facilities.
