German cars among the worst for engine failures Towcar Talk Caravan Talk

Sir Ken Robinson - Talk to Al Jazeera

Number Failure Rate Failure Rate 1 in x 1 Honda 0 29 1-2 0 58 344 Toyota 1-171 3 0 84 Mercedes 1-119 4 Volvo 0 90 1-111 May 98 0 Jaguar 1-103.
Number Failure Rate Failure Rate 1 in x 1 MG Rover July 88 1 to 13 3 February Audi 71 1 to 27 3 February 51 MINI 1-40 Saab February 4 49 1 to 40 5 February 46 Vauxhall 1 to 41.
I would like to see those numbers on the base to 100,000 miles I saw a number of German engines and original Volvo engines running with over 500,000 miles, but not a Japanese engine still running to execution.
Somewhere in the annals of the CT there is a note I made about a cat for a pilot recovery on the ferry from Ireland to the UK he had, I think, an Audi board I asked what the worst outage cars, he had little VW Golf BMW's were first response, but added that the biggest Nissan Mitsubishi pickups favored by Irish farmers were the most common customers mainly because they didn t look after the best were average fords, Nissan, Toyota Vauxhalls.

The last time I looked at Mercedes were not German Quantify please.
She says the top and bottom 10 but shows only the top and bottom 5.
As someone mentioned, indicating a failure His information also guarantee funds which may have a bias to say the kind of customer who buys a used car and a guarantee Theresalso car typre to be considered by eg Golf GTi young driver probably rags to death over a Merc for example, young drivers can afford a sports car Merc rest of Grandpa image Mercs level so as not exactly my playground humble opinion.
Always happy with my Merc, 300,000 miles, did not burn a drop of oil, no leaks, starts first time and RNS probably put the kiss of death on it now.
I like to know the age of the cars in the investigation They are obviously including MG Rover and the infamous K series engine for him to come last and MG Rover went into administration in 2005 so that we are looking on car 8 years.
The Performance VW Audi Group will be 95 to 2 0litre 140,170 diesel injectors with PD This legacy still costing millions VAG in the claims, I would not advise anyone to buy a car with the engine 2 0PD.

BMW has also had major problems with the 2 0 diesel from 2001 to 2006, not full engine failures, but problems of turbo and injection depends on how they are Classing Engine Failure When they introduced double-VANOS variable valve timing six cylinders, there were problems, but that's about cars twelve years or more.
While Toyota and Honda have good reliability, they were not at the front of the engine technology, they are themselves in common rail when it was in it's second and third generation avoided the first to miss win and they avoided the high torque output high direct injection 200bhp Mini oils as June 1 s I guess if you push the engine technology and putting on the market, you run the risk of being caught saying VAG s 2 0PD was an underdeveloped rushed to junk that should never have been released VAG rushed out because of the common rail competition has been defeated former 8V September 1 PD s.

They are there A friend of mine had a minicab company that was in the 90s and 80s there were several Nissan Bluebirds IIRC the kind U11 At least one had over 500,000 miles on it before it is to retirement, and two others headed that way and for all I know this.
The VW Passat I is a 2009 with 118,000 miles on it standing again without real problems that I had before the Golf and Passat yet it 120,000 miles, he got 2 new flywheels in his life that I just order a new Golf, I'm not a gambling man, but I'm sure he will do 120,000 miles without any major problems.

It is too early for my Volvo, but it seems very well built and you see them with mega mileage on them.

His irony they mention MG Rover as I believe that the engine of the K series was derived from Honda when the owners and diesel 75 was a BMW unit - the M47 R.
My 2004 Audi A4 Cabriolet TDI May 2 I had new will be 9 years 6 weeks.

Apart from regular maintenance and brake shoes etc and Cam routine Replacing the belt for routine maintenance 50K miles.
It's had new actuator for the warranty start interlock.
He's had a new engine wiper with 6 1 2 years and 62,000 miles.
A new drive belt 6 3 4 years and 65,000 miles.
Now that yesterday needs a new dual mass flywheel motor 86000 miles.

Outside the snapped drive belt and the radiator boiling above never broken.
And none of these could be attributed to engine failure.
I too would be interested to learn that the publication considers an engine failure.
PS Everything worked as articles no routine maintenance cost me only 42 a year over the nine years, I had the car I'll take that every day Published by chapmag on January 18 2013-10 25 hours.

I equipped Volvo 460 turbo engine with over 120k miles on it in a Clio He had a hard life in the Clio and never dropped Also we don t forget that rover mg didn t k use standard on all petrol models and IIRC after ankle and head gasket have been updated, they were much better.
I want a class of engine failure as a major component failure, I guess most in the ECU investigation may be electrical and similar issues barely engine faliure Edited by clairendave January 18 2013-10 54 hours.

As far as I am aware of the K series was an all Brit design, funded in the main by you and me
Real shame on the head gasket problem because it was a small engine belting besides that we had a Rover 100 16v April 1 and gTi was fun no problem with the head gasket on that.

Our 1996 Toyota Corolla 1300cc car is still going strong, but it has only 96,000 miles on the clock there It has many Toyota s around with over 200,000 miles on the clock and still going strong my friend had a Datsun 120Y and 1970 when he sold it, the mileage was over 200,000 miles and the car was a wreck, but still strong engine when it announced the sale, it was purchased without the buyer to see the vehicle and the buyer was the first person to phone phone did not stop ringing for weeks.

When I worked for NIssan we regularly Nissan Bluebirds who were used as private hire taxis clocking over 250k.
Mileage is not a great indicator of engine wear as far as I'm concerned Cars must be equipped with an hour meter motor as most machines This information is probably available via the ECU car A car can make 3gazillion miles downhill with the wind behind her in seventh gear with the engine idling smoothly 250rpm engine wear will be very slow.

Apart Germiston in South Africa, they have a Mercedes Benz or horse artic which had clocked more than 1 million miles without an engine being opened, I think it was in the home of the shipping company could be found probably do a Google search.
As you say Dreadly, is a car that is 5 years and is more reliable 200k highway miles in better condition than 5 years is done 40k miles of urban What is the history of service both What is the weight the foot is the driver was etc etc lot more to consider than just the overall mileage.

I have an old 2 PD 0TDI five years and its just clocked 30k miles, but at least 10k of those where the tow probably I change the oil at least twice a year.

With low mileage, as I hope, you do have a long driveway or you would be spending most of your time at home.
