A German town has banned male asylum seekers a public swimming pool after women complained of harassment.
A government official in Bornheim said men shelter nearby asylum would be prevented until they have received the message that such behavior was unacceptable.
It follows outrage hundreds of sexual assaults in the neighboring city of Cologne and other German cities the day before the New Year.
These attacks, by men of mainly Arab and North Africa, has raised tensions on the influx of migrants.

The head of the department of social affairs Bornheim - about 20 km south of 12 miles Cologne - said the move to ban male migrants followed more and more reports of inappropriate behavior of swimmers and staff.
There have been complaints of sexual harassment and chat-up going on in the pool by groups of young men, prompting some women to leave, Markus Schnapka told Reuters.
He said none of the complaints involved a crime committed, but that social workers in the city would help ensure that asylum seekers have changed their behavior.
It is unclear how this rule is applied, although Germany is set to introduce new identity cards for migrants in February.
Correspondents say the ban of the pool is the latest sign of heightened tensions following the attacks of Cologne.
On Thursday, authorities in another city in western Germany, Rheinberg, canceled a carnival parade scheduled for February on security issues.
Rheinberg head of public security, Jonny Strey, told German media that the Cologne events had influenced the decision and that officials were concerned about men from immigrant misconduct.
Rheinberg Mayor Frank Tatzel later denied this, according to Reuters.
The Cologne authorities have expressed concern about clean city carnival in February after the bombings Nye, promising to strengthen security and public awareness.
