This Sunday, the city of Newport, RI will host its annual Fort Adams when Autumn classic car, located in the old fort Each year the event brings together over 200 cars through New England, and they all gather on the lawn overlooking the Narragansett Bay classic American iron is what this show does best, and in previous years we have seen a lot of competition-quality machinery that we would be lucky to find at single events Carlisle Brand, Penn.
One of our favorite features of this show is the location just outside the historic fort, dating back to the 1790s and was at one time commanded by General Franklin Pierce Brigade, later elected president the fort is now preserved in a little more than the organizers of the restored state don t stop showgoers climbing on the two-story roof of the pentagonal structure, which is several hundred yards wide it a few years ago, the fort used instead of the last contest of elegance Newport, which has since folded due to a last minute cancellation in 2012, but the cars we saw at Fort Adams when autumn was even more interesting than during the last year the Newport Concours.
