Mr. Lopez said planning was meticulous and organizers were eager to get rid of the reputation marred the festival by bringing more family friendly events, changes in alcohol policy and to encourage people to bring their children.
We made a lot of changes to make it more of a community, and events for families, it is still a wild crazy car festival, said Mr. Lopez.

He said the organizers had more security in place and coordinated with the government of the ACT and ACT Police throughout the weekend to maintain public safety Canberra.
I think it's fair to say the relationship between Summernats and ACT Police probably bifurcates into the bromance said Mr. Lopez.
