Gadkari had said Friday that the government should introduce legislation to Parliament winter session and ensure its passage.
According to the bill, there will be an independent body - motor vehicle regulations and road safety in India.
Motor vehicles must be regulated by improved designs and simplified licensing systems to drive automated one-stop, including biometrics unified to avoid duplication of licenses.
Other features include the registration system of vehicles unified, single multinational National Road Transport Coordination Authority and freight transport and national freight policy.
It includes provisions for the safety of vehicles, including the implementation of safety equipment in motor vehicles.



It also includes technologies such as intelligent speed adaptation, the driver warning control eyes drowsiness detectors, the distance to closure rate detection and monitoring of the green box.
The bill was drafted in line with the best practices of six developed countries - US, Canada, Singapore, Japan, Germany and the United Kingdom.
