RIO DE JANEIRO AP A slalom canoe coach of Germany died on Monday after suffering head injuries last week in a car crash in Rio de Janeiro, the country's Olympic team said.
Stefan Henze, who was 35 years old and won a silver medal in slalom canoeing at the Athens Games in 2004, died surrounded by his family, the team said.

Henze was in a Rio hospital since he underwent emergency surgery after the taxi accident Friday.
