2015 Mercedes-Benz Day at Larz Anderson Museum

Larz Anderson (Mercedes Day 2016 Highlights) & Update channel

Last Sunday, two organizations that I belong to the Mercedes-Benz Club of America and the Larz Anderson Museum of Transport organized a day Larz Anderson Mercedes Museum in Brookline, Massachusetts I had the pleasure of attending this event.
There was a wide range of Mercedes-Benz cars out there, all of the post-war, I chose some pictures of some of the most sports cars among the assembled cars.
The 170S Cabriolet below was the sports version of the Mercedes-Benz modest 170 line late 1940s and early 1950s, but there were 52 horsepower This car retains much of the elegance of the Mercedes-Benz cars prewar suicide doors are a beautiful style design on this car.
While Mercedes-Benz 300SL cars get most of the attention, the Mercedes-Benz 190SL sports, as indicated below, was the smallest Mercedes-Benz cars in the 1950s to the masses over the past few years these 2 places sports cars increased considerably value as the Mercedes-Benz 300SL cars more desirable, but visually similar reached affordable prices to cover the fund managers.

In the 1960 Mercedes-Benz has upgraded the SL range to the 230SL, the 250SL, 280SL and finally I showed a picture of a 280SL was the Larz Anderson show all these cars had 6-cylinder engines in line with each model has got a little more the 280SL which was produced from 1968 to 1971 had an engine 2 8 liters that produces 170 horsepower These cars have a very elegant look for them.
The Mercedes-Benz 280SE since the early 1970s below looked very well with the coupe design This car has a V8 motor 3 5 liter that produces 200 horsepower that offers reasonable performance for full size car.
In the 1980 Mercedes-Benz SL has modified the model line and this resulted in the Mercedes-Benz 560SL as noted below, I have fond memories of the Mercedes-Benz 560SL cars like Harald von Langsdorff and I won our class two rallies Northeast Rally club with 560SL the 560SL Harald had a V8 motor 5 6 liter that produces 227 horsepower.
There were some sport Mercedes-Benz modern day Mercedes cars and the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG below clearly takes design cues sports cars older Mercedes-Benz AMG SLS is capable of accelerating from 0 to 62 mph 3 8 seconds and can reach a maximum speed of over 190 mph The SLS AMG can also display a quarter mile time of 7 seconds 11-125 mph.

As the owner of Mercedes-Benz I found the day Mercedes to be very interesting and uninspiring It was also a demonstration that Mercedes-Benz has made good cars for a long time as a founder of Mercedes-Benz, Gottlieb Daimler , have written the best or nothing.
